OceanJet Line – Public Consultation Research Report
In March 2026, Ocean Prime Industries published the findings of its public consultation into demand for a zero-emission ferry service connecting Swansea with destinations across the Bristol Channel. The research, funded by Swansea Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, drew over 4,300 responses, with 98% supporting the proposed service.
The report covers what the public told us, the market opportunity, indicative pricing from £15, the economic benefits for Swansea and participating ports, the green hydrogen strategy, and the four development workstreams now underway. It includes a foreword by Rob Stewart, Leader of the City and County of Swansea Council.
